Chelsea have officially ended their interest in signing Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, despite the player submitting a transfer request and expressing his desire to leave this summer.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are not pursuing a deal for the 25-year-old forward. Instead, the club remains focused on completing transfers for Jorrel Hato and Xavi Simons as part of their summer plans.

Romano confirmed the update on X (formerly Twitter), writing:

“Chelsea not actively working on Alexander Isak deal and no interest in proceeding despite reports.

#CFC very happy with their strikers and fully focused on Xavi Simons and Jorrel Hato deals now.

The club working on Isak deal was, is and remains Liverpool.”

Isak, one of the Premier League’s most sought-after forwards, has been linked with several top clubs following an impressive spell at St. James’ Park. However, Chelsea are content with their current attacking options and have no plans to enter the race for his signature.

Meanwhile, Liverpool remain the frontrunners in the pursuit of Isak, with talks expected to progress further as the window unfolds.
