Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has provided an update on the condition of Jamal Musiala following the midfielder’s injury during their FIFA Club World Cup quarter-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain.

In a tightly contested match, Bayern fell to PSG with goals from Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele securing victory for the French side. However, the result was overshadowed by concern for Musiala, who was forced off the pitch after a heavy collision with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The incident occurred in the second half when Musiala, attempting to chase down a loose ball, collided awkwardly with Donnarumma. The German international remained on the ground in visible pain before being stretchered off, sparking immediate concerns from teammates and medical staff.

Kompany Provides Latest on Musiala

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Kompany acknowledged the seriousness of the situation but urged caution regarding speculation.

“The situation with Jamal was very emotional. We all saw what happened and it didn’t look good,” Kompany stated. “We hope it is not as bad as it appeared, and we are making sure he receives the best possible medical treatment.”

Kompany confirmed that early indications point to an ankle injury but stressed that no formal diagnosis has been made yet.

“From just watching the images, it looks like an ankle injury of some sort, but I’m not going to make a diagnosis,” he added.

No Timeline Confirmed Yet

Bayern Munich’s medical team is expected to carry out further tests to determine the full extent of the injury. Until then, there is no confirmed timeline for Musiala’s return to action.

Bayern supporters and football fans alike will be hoping for positive news as the talented midfielder faces a period of uncertainty following the unfortunate incident.
